When a planner asks AI

Who should keynote our leadership summit next spring?

Three strong picks for that stage:1. A well-known futurist2. Your name, right here3. An innovation strategist

Illustration, not a logged answer. Making it real is the work.

The shift

The way planners find you changed.

01

You built your name the hard way.

Stages, books, audiences. Years of work that made you findable.

02

Planners used to Google you.

Ten blue links, and your site did the talking.

03

Now they ask AI.

One question, one answer, a handful of names.

04

The questions are already being asked.

Real planner questions, answered in seconds.

  • “Who are the best keynote speakers on innovation?”
  • “Find an opening keynote for our leadership summit.”
  • “Which speakers on the future of work are worth the fee?”
05

The answer is a short list.

Whoever is on it gets the call, with or without you.

Questions like these get answered in seconds, with a short list of names. Shortlist measures whether yours is on it.

Your Shortlist Score®
The Shortlist Score®

One number for where you stand.

Every client gets a Shortlist Score®: a 0 to 100 measure of where you stand when planners ask AI who to book. It counts where you appear, how accurately AI describes you, and how high you land, on the same real questions, re-checked over time. Private until you choose to share it.

Half the score

Discovery

When a planner asks for speakers like you without using your name, are you in the answer? New bookings start here, which is why it carries half the score.

About a third

Recognition

When AI is asked about you directly, does it know exactly who you are, what you speak on, and what you’ve built, without confusing you with anyone else?

The rest

Position

Being named is half the game. When you do appear, this measures how high on the shortlist you land.

Same questions every time, re-checked on a schedule, so the number only moves when reality moves. Every answer behind it is logged and dated.

How it works

The hard work is ours.

Three steps, no homework without a path.

1

We measure how you show up.

We check the real questions planners ask AI, every day, and score exactly where you appear and where you don’t.

2

We find exactly what to fix.

You get the specific changes that move your score, from your website to your LinkedIn, written so your web person can make them without guesswork. If you’d rather hand it off, we work with them directly.

3

We track your score as it climbs.

Same questions, re-checked on a schedule, so you watch the number move and know what worked.

FAQ

Questions, answered plainly.

What is Shortlist?
Shortlist measures and improves how professional speakers show up when event planners ask AI who to book. You get one score, the exact fixes that move it, and re-measurement that shows what changed.
What is the Shortlist Score®?
A 0 to 100 measure of where you stand when event planners ask AI who to book. It counts where you appear, how accurately AI describes you, and how high you land when you do, built from the real questions planners ask. The bands: Invisible, Foundational, Competitive, Category Leader. Your score is private until you choose to share it.
Why doesn’t AI recommend me already?
AI assistants build their answers from what is already published about you: your site, your profiles, the pages and lists they trust. If those places don’t say clearly what you speak about and who you speak to, the answer moves on to someone whose pages do. That is fixable, and the fixes are exactly what we deliver.
What does the audit include?
Seven days of measurement on roughly 55 real planner questions, checked daily across ChatGPT, Google AI Overview, and Google AI Mode. You get your Shortlist Score®, exactly where you appear and where you are absent, what AI gets wrong about you, which pages produce the answers you are losing, and every fix written so it can be implemented without guesswork. Delivered within 14 days of payment, with a walkthrough call.
What does it cost?
The audit is $2,500, delivered within 14 days. Ongoing measurement is $500 a month with a re-scored audit each quarter at $1,500. The first conversation is a free 15-minute call, and if your category is already taken, we tell you on that call.
What do the fixes cover?
Your website, your bios, your LinkedIn presence, the facts AI keeps getting wrong, and the pages and lists AI trusts when it builds an answer. Each fix says what to change, where, why it matters, and how to know it is done. Most take an afternoon; none require rebuilding your site.
Do I need a developer?
No. Many fixes are yours or your assistant’s to make, like aligning bios and profiles. The technical ones are written so any web person can implement them directly. If you would rather hand the whole thing off, managed implementation exists for exactly that.
How is this different from hiring an SEO person?
SEO works on where your pages rank in search results. Shortlist works on whether AI assistants name you, describe you accurately, and place you high when planners ask who to book. Related craft, different battlefield, and we measure the exact questions your bookings depend on.
What is Track?
The ongoing plan: your questions checked daily, a monthly report on what moved and what to do next, a re-scored audit every quarter, and your category held exclusively while you subscribe. $500 a month, cancel anytime.
Do you guarantee bookings?
No. We measure and improve how you show up when planners ask AI, and that is the commitment we can prove. Bookings also come through bureaus, referrals, and repeat planners, and no honest firm can promise them.
Which AI assistants do you check?
Today: ChatGPT, Google AI Overview, and Google AI Mode, checked daily. Every answer is logged and dated. We add assistants as coverage grows, and we never make claims about ones we haven’t tested.
Who is Shortlist for?
Professional keynote speakers, authors, and experts whose bookings depend on being found. Audits are open to any speaker. Ongoing work is exclusive: one client per speaking category, so we never work to move two competitors up in the same answers.
Do you work with speakers outside the US?
Yes. Measurement runs worldwide, and the questions can be checked from the specific countries you want to be booked in.
How fast does the score move?
Answers that draw on your own site usually update within a few weeks of the fixes shipping. The competitive recommendations take about twelve weeks, because AI tools need time to re-read the web.
